VOGUE PARIS ORIGINAL 1642. Corselet and skirt. Lined-to-edge, above-hip length corselet top, close-fitting and slightly flared over high hip, has shoulder straps, princess seaming and front-laced closing with self or purchases drawstring. Flared, four-gore bias skirt, four inches below mid-knee or ankle length, with front and back gathered into waistband, has side zipper closing and pockets in side seams.-

VOGUE PARIS ORIGINAL 1646. Blouse and skirt. Loose-fitting blouse, with front, back and sleeves gathered into neckband, has front and back square neckline and front-buttoned band closing. Full, elbow length or full-length raglan sleeves are elasticized at lower edge. Topstitching. Dirndl skirt, mid-calf or ankle length, with front and back gathered into waistband, has pockets in side seams and side zipper closing. Lower skirt, pleated to upper skirt, forms self ruffle. Purchases braid and rick-rack trim variations.
